My hip was locked until age 21 then after replaced doctor didn’t think to send me to PT so now age 50 very tight. I can’t even reach my foot behind me or bring knee to chest!
How the heck do i choose the right practitioner to diagnose me!! Hip pain needs to be diagnosed but i dont even know where to start -your a neuromuscular massage therapist, i have never seen one here north of boston. Donu go to an orthopdist or a pt with a doctorate or a skilled chiropractor? Help!!!

Good evening sir Sam! I would like to ask you about the machine, how high does the bar reach in cm please? Because i am 175cm tall and i have calf block with height 20 cm for calf raise. I am concerned about the height of the bar, as if it doesn't seem that high. I will wait for your comment, thank you!
I'm 6'3 and with a 4 inch block until my foot I do full range of motion calf raises with at least 8 inches to spare. Its plenty tall.

Fantastic video. I have a large liberal tear and a chronically tight psoas. Have done a ton of pt which helped for awhile but things are just getting worse now. And it’s been 8 years of this now, 26 years old. I believe my psoas is in constant spasm trying to protect that tear. Injections in those areas and doctors agree. Do you think fixing that laberal tear with surgery in there release that psoas tension? Thanks

So to confirm your method to relief psoas discomfort (psoas pain) is by continued resistance training to make the muscle stronger not to directly address the nerve or tendon being pinched or chaffing eventually becoming irritated is that right?

I always have tight papas and it stops be from extending my leg past 90 degrees in ballet class. I need more exercises to inhibit my dominant hip flexors. I have also been working on strengthening multifidus any recommendations greatly appreciated 🎉

Personally I wouldn't because the weather can be rough on equipment, especially on a smith.
We cannot recommend putting any of our equipment outside due to weather elements that could cause rusting and break down the equipment much faster. It's recommended to place this indoors.

Easy on Easy off if you’re in shape. If you have severe edema calves and feet, it will take some effort to put on. Very Simplistic and Made of quality. Very Impressed for the price which I ordered on Amazon for $89. The Remote hand held is very well made feels durable and is whisper quiet.

I always use to sleep on my stomach, and I had SI joint , hip and lower back since my teens because I’m hypermobile . I’m in my 50s and last 10 years I had to switch to side or back due to neck pain and it’s made all the pain I mentioned above even worse. I do use pillows like you suggested in different places but I don’t think they were right height or exactly right shape or right positions. So thank you I,ll try your suggestions.

I watched this yesterday and was a bit skeptical and bummed that it was an exercise and not actual instruction on how to sit, and it didn’t seem practical to do in a dress at church. PLEASE I NEED HELP. When bringing my left knee up to my chest in the first exercise, my leg on my right side comes off the ground because of shortened psoas and my leg is shortened and feels like it’s up in my abdomen and my rectus femoris is so tight my leg is stuck straight, and when I try to bend knee everything moves as one and it literally shifts my body and back out of natural movements and it’s so painful to be alive, even with Norcos. I feel like my body is imploding on itself and I need help. 5 different PTs for last 2 years have all people younger than me fresh out of schooling with no hands on life experience and they’ve only made things worse..PLEASE PLEASE HELP

Yes because there is no perfect sitting position. The problem is lack of MOVEMENT when sitting.
I assume the bad leg is the one on bottom based upon the red of the skeleton model.
The red on the skeleton is noted muscle origins. Has nothing to do with pain. The "problematic" hip is the top.

Yes you can on many people. When in the correct place, when the client flexes the hip you can feel the psoas under the fingers.
Where are you located? Would you do an assessment on me ? I have been to many doctors, pt , massage and other modalities. If you can help me great. My gait suffers a lot. I have to hike my right side to walk. My lumbar mri shows slipped disc , 3 bone spurs , and stenosis. Do I want surgery no. I am not In pain. Tho it does get sore mechanically after 20 minutes of walking. Samantha
